Who broke the internetz?
Not Me.
Ah Family Circus jokes...
Seriously though the site was down for about a day or so because our host servers (the super computers housed in a secret base near the earth's core and guarded by CHUDs) had some maintenance run on them. That in turn made our drupal database and code, in the most technical way of putting it, shit its pants.
I apologize for the downtime to anyone trying to access the site for any of the many fabulous reasons you'd click your googlers here. Hopefully it's stabilized now.
That John Denver's full of shit, man.
That title has nothing to do with the actually post besides Denver.
That's right. The Random Creatureface Films crew is headed to Denver Colorado for the Horrorfest part of Starfest April 18th-20th.
If you're from the area come check it out. Summer School is playing at 10PM Friday the 18th in Panel Room 1. We also have a table with Summer School merch, a discussion panel at 7PM on Saturday, and Mike, Lance, Troy McCall and I will be part of the Making Indie Horror panel at 2PM also on Saturday.
New Summer School reviews incoming!
Just posting these new reviews to the top for right now. They will be added to the Summer School Press page most likely after the holiday season.
The first is from Creep-A-Go-Go
a second from Fatally Yours
And the third from Trash Film Orgy
Check them out and see what people think of Summer School.
EDIT: Added another review from Trash Film Orgy. Enjoy!
Summer School is now an award winning film.
At the Syracuse B-movie festival Mike and I won for Best Editing on Summer School making it the first award for the film. The statue is a little bronzed Tor Johnson from Plan 9 From Outer Space. Check him out:

From Erie, PA to Syracuse, NY
For all you folks that came out to the Erie Horror Fest and stayed for our showing. THANKS! You guys rock socks on their asses. I put up a few pics of us from the fest here: Pics
Next stop on the Summer School express bus to hell is Syracuse, NY for the B-Movie fest which Summer School is nominated for 3 awards. Check that out here: B-movie Fest
Getting our second wind.
Summer School powers on! For those not peaking in the forums it has been nominated for 3 awards at the Syracuse, NY's B-movie fest.
Best Editing
Best Director (That's all of us surprisingly: Lance Hendrickson, Troy McCall, Mike P. Nelson, Steven Rhoden and Ben Trandem)
and of course
Best Feature
Check it out here: B-Horror nominations
We are also incredibly honored to be asked back to the Erie, PA Eerie Horror Festival. Summer School is the first film in the festivals history to be asked back for an encore showing. We want to thank the crew in Erie and especially Reverend Greg and the family Bostaph.
And lastly the standard edition of Summer School is now available online from Imoovie.
It's available for $19.95 and is free shipping. So, if you want to save 3 bucks for a dvd with less features (no commentaries, behind the scenes, gag reel, etc.) snag it there. Hopefully some people who wouldn't normally pick up a horror film will see it on there and buy a copy.
FACED UP!
Thank you Crypticoners!
Just wanted to let all you people who picked up a copy of Summer School or just stopped by our little basement table a big huge massive THANK YOU! for your support of our film.
And also to any of you just checking out the site from our fliers Welcome! Hope you find something to your liking while you're here.
Also, yes the rumors are true. I did in fact FORCE Lloyd Kaufman of Troma Films to buy a copy of Summer School. Apparently no one makes Lloyd pay for indy films they've made. He called me an asshole and a ripoff artist but did also say it was a great film that people should support. Thanks Lloyd!
EDIT: Mike is a sneaky sneaky fella and posted the Q&A we did at the con on Youtube without letting me know. Check it out here.
Crypticon Question and Answer #2
Minneapolis Locals looking for love?
Wait I meant horror and gore. Come on out to the 2nd annual Minneapolis Crypticon September 14-16th and meet your favorite RCF crew member, watch Summer School with a group of horror fans Friday the 14th, meet real celebrities if we aren't a big enough draw alone, or even buy a copy of the Summer School DVD and get it signed by us!
Check out the site for more information.

Coming soon rather than later...
Just posting something a bit cryptic as the details of this MacGuffin are still under wraps. Wanted to let you visitors know we are cooking something up. Not even a single hint just yet. Or is that a hint? Who knows...
Confused? Good. Check back next week for a proper sneak peak at the ______ ______ ___! Which we are very excited about.
