No Ash in the remake so no hilarious psychotic breakdown in the cabin. Atleast not as entertaining as Bruce's version.

Friday the 13th is being remade... and here's why its going to suck and not be as good as the original.
1)No Kevin Bacon dying on a camp cot.
2)Jason is actually in the film.
3)Jason has his hockey mask.

Since the first featured Mrs. Voorhees as the killer and not Jason there will be some odd changes made to the plot. Also Jason didn't get his mask until half way through the 3rd film. I actually prefered the way in which he started with just an old burlap potato sack with eye holes before moving to the hockey mask. It was a nice progression to the now famous face wear. If anything good can come of the remake I hope they have him wear the burlap sack for atleast a few kills before shifting into the goalie mask.
I can probably guess that the plot involves Mrs. Voorhees not actually being the killer as in the original. She will revive her dead son Jason, who was killed by negligent councilors at camp crystal, with some voodoo crap and he'll rise up as a full grown man. Which won't make sense but then he can kill some kid wearing a hockey mask and you're all set for a crappy remake.

Apparently since you can make an assload of cash on bad remakes to classic horror films the Weinstein company is possibly planning a remake of Halloween... woopooo.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel to the remake is coming out this year. Whoopty shit...
On a side note I haven't heard a peep about the Creature from the Black Lagoon remake. Might be dead in the water, Mike.

Not saying this will be a horrible remake... I just don't care one way or the other about it. Nick Cage might do a real good job. The Wickerman just doesn't require a remake.
Still, do yourself a favor and just go rent the original with Christopher Lee and Edward Woodward. Classic CLASSIC horror film with a stunning ending.

I heard about this Wicker Man remake and feel split as well as Ben does. Your right, it really doesn't need a remake. I kinda want to see something new. Not just a remake. I mean for cryin in the night! This is the perfect chance to do something absolutely crazy right!? Make something fresh! You know what I mean... Thank goodness for Neil Marshall and THE DESCENT and SNAKES ON A PLANE. Original crazyness. I'm done.
