Pro-Life is probably one of

Pro-Life is probably one of the best episodes I've seen. Embodies everything I ever thought Masters of Horror should be! Gory, suspenseful, great performances, great story! A MONSTER that rules! KNB baby! This is one to see! Oh and Ron Pearlman...you are fantastic! John Carpenter's two entries in this series stand apart from most of the others. Great work.

On the other hand We all Scream for Ice Cream is probably one of the worst. I love William Forsythe, and he's not bad, but everything else is just aweful. It's like they had one day to shoot the thing and everything was "Oh that's good enough."
Terrible, just terrible. The performances were laughable, the writing silly, and the premise, ridiculous!!!!!

I personally thought

I personally thought Cigarette Burns was actually better than Pro-Life mainly because of the laughable demon spawn and some of the more bizarre gorey moments.

Beyond one idiotic shot Don Coscarelli's Incident on and off a Mountain Road is my personal favorite from Season One. Seeing Ethan Embry as a badass survival nut was really a treat.

Of course John Landis' Family is my favorite from Season Two. It surprised me with its tight story, good effects and the fact that there is no nudity!!? Strange I know.

I also enjoyed the quirkiness of Lucky McKee's Sick Girl, John Landis' Deer Woman, and Joe Dante's Homecoming. All meshed the horror with comedy very well.

The best for creepy factor has to be Takashi Miike's Imprint. That one actually got me a little bit. The torture scene is on the same level as Audition. Brutal.

William Malone's The Fair Hair Child is more set in a magical horror world with less gore but still one of the best of the first season.

A lot of episodes stood out to me as pointless horror/porn. Mainly, Haeckel's Tale and Pelts. Jennifer pushes that line but barely slides by as a interesting narrative. Same with Chocolate.

Dance of the Dead continues my ideal that Tobe Hooper is a one hit wonder. Just an awful hour long train wreck.

Stuart Gordon's Dreams in the Witch-House is basically just mediocre. Not bad. Not good. Just sort of bland really.

Still haven't seen all of Season One though and a lot of Season Two. I would consider buying the new "Crypt" package deal but I really don't like most of the films. Just keep getting them through Netflix for now.

Incident and Fair Haired

Incident and Fair Haired Child were frikin GREAT!!!!!!! Props to those. Incident combined my two favorite genres, Revenge and survival and Fair Haired Child had that fun creep factor going for it. Both straight up horror without the filler.
