Like most Horror fans, there is a single movie or even a single moment in a movie that changes them and makes them want to create a movie of their own, or even hooks them on films.

I was wondering what movies did this for the Random Creature Face team???

For me it was seeing George A Romero's "Dawn of the Dead."

Thanks guys, Scott

I would say it's a toss up

I would say it's a toss up between Evil Dead 2 and Dead Alive. Mainly because they both connect with my sense of humor as well as love for crazy gore.

Great question. At a young age I was introduced to "Monster Squad" and have been in love with it ever since. I had seen a good majority of the Universal stuff before I saw this movie so I knew all about these evil monsters, but I never saw them so mean and vicious in a film before. The monsters weren't just cool, they were scary too! Not to mention that killer score is simply menacing. And then being an avid fan of Indiana Jones before I could count to ten, I know definitely had an effect.

I have to add the film that just blew my mind as a kid. When it first came out on VHS I saw Terminator 2 and realized just how absolutely thrilling and crazy a movie can be.
I think it's interesting that the films that tend to inspire us still stand up today as amazing pieces of cinema.

Salem's Lot scared the shit

Salem's Lot scared the shit out of me as a kid, but when i was a teenager I just found the film ok. I do agree I remember being flabbergasted by the action in T2 and Die Hard as a kid. And I still really enjoy watching both.

When There's no more room in HELL the dead will walk the earth.

T2...Amen. I happened upon T2 when I was a kid as well. We stopped over at my aunt and uncles in Spooner, WI and all the women were watching the Miss America pageant. My aunt says, "All the guys are down stairs." So my dad, my brother and I walk downstairs right when the semi truck chase was starting. I was about 11 and the only R rated film I had seen prior was Das Boot which I didn't really understand even though it was dubbed. And sure enough, my dad let my younger brother and I stay and watch. Come on we were with family! (: Definitely one of those that still sticks. T1000 has to be one of the top 10 movie villains of all time. And the score by Brad Fiedel! Nothing shy of amazing.

Now in terms of scaring the

Now in terms of scaring the crap out of me...Well the film that did that when I was younger was Fire in the Sky. I saw it recently and it is still unnerving, but didn't have quite the same effect. Same with Event Horizon which when I first saw it about 6 years ago really freaked me out. I couldn't sleep one night so I went downstairs to take advantage of our one month free of HBO. I turn on a movie called Event Horizon. Looks like a sci-fi movie. Ok cool. No way. Mutilation. People eating each other. Hellish imagery. I was not expecting that. I had even a worse time sleeping. The movie is still ok. Probably Paul Anderson best work. But it's nothing like that one night.
