I recently listened to the audio commentary on "Summer School." and noticed the character charles having three shorts that were previously done by Random CreatureFace. I was wondering where I may be able to find this short "Massacre at Madge." For my Viewing pleasure.

Hey Dead, Massacre in Madge

Hey Dead,

Massacre in Madge were two films that I shot under RockfordRoad Pictures with some friends of mine up in Madge Wisconsin back in 2003. If you have watched The Grindhouse or Kill Your Killer, those are the people I shot them with. I suppose I can upload them onto youtube sometime and you can see them. They are pretty primitive, but fun none the less. Actually, the villain in Kill Your Killer is from Massacre in Madge. Kill Your Killer is technically the 3rd installment of the series. I'll get it up on youtube for ya.

Glad you enjoyed Scott. Yeah

Glad you enjoyed Scott. Yeah my cabin friends and I went from there to Kill Your Killer just dinging around with a camera and homaging horror movies. I will upload part 2 soon. Maybe I'll even get The Devil Man's Game which was my attempt to do a Battle Royal/Saw rip off before Saw part one came out. I'll even throw up the trailer for MM part 3 which never happened and eventually turned into Kill Your Killer after we shot The Grindhouse in 2005. Can you guess what theatrical films we homaged for each one?

The Grindhouse?
Kill Your Killer?
Massacre in Madge?

Thanks again Scott.

The Grindhouse feels to me

The Grindhouse feels to me like a mix of "Texas Chainsaw" and "Last House on the Left".
Kill your killer Im actually not sure of to be honest. it feels like a movie ive seen I just can't think of it.
Massacre in Madge I would have to say is very "Friday the 13th" like. Even the score reminds me of crystal lake.
You'll have to let me know if I'm Way off or what.
Thanks Mike.

Actually your just about

Actually your just about spot on. "Kill Your Killer" was my homage to "High Tension" (Switchblade Romance) by Alexander Aja, which I feel is the best attempt at a modern day slasher film...minus the ending. The other two you nailed. I should also mention that A Killer's Technique was inspired by Argento's stuff. No film in particular. Well, maybe "Opera" without the death metal tracks. hehehe

"High Tension" was a great

"High Tension" was a great flick probably one of the best horror movies made in the last 5 years hands down.

So are there any plans to do another short film over the summer or is a feature film more on the plate for you guys??

You'll see another short

You'll see another short from Rockford Road Pictures this summer. Couldn't tell you what it was because we usually decide the night we make it. As for Random Creatureface, I know we have a short coming up that Ben wrote.

Wow, have you grown as a

Wow, have you grown as a filmmaker!?!

But I'll be damned if you haven't had a gift all along kiddo. I am having the time of my life sitting back and waiting for your masterpiece. Because I know it's coming. I know filmmakers who can't hold a candle to the talent you have. Keep it up Sweetie...I'm pulling for you!

Thanks Melissa! I shot that

Thanks Melissa! I shot that thing in 6 hours about 5 years ago. It's ridiculous how much those screwy little films have helped me make the stuff I do today. I mean Kill Your Killer took me 5 hours to shoot and Flashlight took me 6 and both helped me become so much more resourceful when on a set. (and on the editing table)We frikin used old script pages as reflectors to bounce light on our faces! Thanks for the good words.

(:
