It's just another day at the movies with your pal Mike. "House by the Cemetary" (3 out of 7 martinis) Why? Because "The Beyond" was way better! Why? Because it was way to slow! Why? Because the little blonde haired boy sounded like a 12 year old girl! There are many other reasons, but overall, it was just badly paced with a horrible ending that should have tried to help the movie rather than make it more confusing. Some of the death scenes were kool involving a firepoker "SLOW MO" kill and knife through the head out the mouth. My favorit thing about this movie was the return of the female lead from "The Beyond," Catriona MacColl. She's good. I like her. The baby sitter character also seemed familiar, but was different that the blind girl in "The Beyond." Looked similar though.
"Monster In-Law" (5 out of 7 martinis) An actual funny show. Jane Fonda was really really good for some reason and Jennifer Lopez wasn't distracting like usual. This was a good mix I think, or as Rik Sferra would say "good ju ju." A great scene: Jane Fonda's former mother in-law comes to J-lo's wedding and just antagonizes her! (Jane Fonda I mean) Rent it when it comes out on DVD...if you like this sort of thing.
