you may all have noticed that i have stopping calling these "punisher" war journals, i do this in fear of copyright laws so get over it. moving on. so here it is. we threw down the gauntlet and pushed through the five day shoot. from the 10th to the 14th our lives were nothing but filmmaking. we shot the rest of the vampires, monsters, haunted house, slasher, hillbilly, and bookends sequences. and if that wasn't enough we also fit in some pickups for the cult and nazi sequences. we had fifteen hours of shooting on thurs. followed by a lazy fri. we did shoot all night on fri. night and got up bright and early for the sat. morning shoot. needless to say we were all pretty exhausted by the end of the week. i want to thank all my directors who worked so hard to work within the schedules i set for them; even those that went grossly over time. ehem, mike, i'm looking in your direction. looking back on those five days there were two people who really earned the awards for the shoot. the first is matt, who threw himself through the air into a locker bank four times for us to get a shot and to myself, for making the big shot on sat. with the cops and the cherry picker come off. you may think this is a little self-serving but to you i say, fuck-off. i worked hard on this project and i think i have earned the right to say so.
one thing from the week worth noting though, is when our dp and gaffer almost got his ass-kicked by a very large man. i'd tell the whole story but i don't think troy would appreciate it, so if you knok troy and weren't there, ask him yourself. that's all for now kids, check ya.
